- Search for thermo delivory – found a spare on hand
Found that after attempting the replacement the mark on the dial was reversed and the correct temp could be gained by marking the opposite end, left a note for the tennent
- Seal up hole below #5, looked at placing the insulation below back into bays and put some back up
- Seek monies for purchase of threshold from BME
- Seamus is taking a half day or full and will call in later
- Found under #8 a running outdoor tap and I turned it off
- Spoke with Seamus to determine petty cash and withdrew $25 to purchase threshhold from BME
- #14 threshold is 36″x 6″
@BME the thresholds are 32″1/4″ & 30″ 1/4″ ; at Lowes a threshold can be ordered for $19.95
- Seamus called to be on hand to show #14 or leave note
- Returned pettycash and spoke with tennents to get the Christmas tree for Friday

~Ed the Insurance/ Risk assessor came by.  His story it seems was that he grew up in NY City and now lives up here in the north.  He told me of his Lithuanian roots and how he met a ‘drop dead gorgeous’ girl once and he struck up a conversation by telling her about how his name is Lithuanian.  Go get em tiger..

We checked out: Laundry room, Play ground equipment, Vacant apartments, hallways, fire alarms, and attic spaces.  Some comments on: heating with oil, emergency lights, a hole in an attic floor, roof and storage.  Quick and painless, until the report comes around.

Called Dead River to come and fill tanks,. Balance payments are being resolved.  Talked with several folks on company side and Dead River Side.  Polite as possible while being constructive.  Hall called back 1:30 to confirm delivery tomorrow.

Meeting notes: Meeting others from all around the areas including sites and maintenance.  Questions to think about: Payroll, mileage, PTO, Covering and cell phone, vendors and following up with payments to vendors, embellishing the properties- what is the look of this company, renting vs buying equipment, electrical policy- licensed?, responding to emergencies if unavailable, fees and reimbursements..

~Maintenance Story from other sites  …Oil is out in an apartment building, its cold outside and people are going to get too cold inside. Maintenance guy goes and gets his own buckets of oil that he just so happened to have around and dumps about 10 gallons in to get the heat up until delivery…

~Maintenance Story from other sites  …Apartment is vacated in the middle of the night, tenant had skipped out on rent, they left all their stuff in the apartment.  Maintenance staff hauled out the trash in several truck loads in their personal vehicle…

~Maintenance Story from other Sites   …Same apartment as above but the maintenance man told a story with much anticipation, pausing at every opportunity to keep the suspense…  “When I had to go in to paint..pause.. the walls were usually this nice tan color..pause.. like these here..pause.. but when I went in to this one..pause.. you wouldn’t have guessed..pause.. (and with a serious and deliberate tone) the trim was ..pause.. blue,… try to cover that up…

~WOs?  #16 light out tenant showed me pictures of military days, old logging pictures of family and his pictures of his family.  I had to humor him. two reasons hes old and I had to stay and listen and I was interested, fascinating stuff with the logging pictures and WW2 airship patrol units looking for U boats.
